It is very well known to Affiliate marketers that Google is
out to get them, or should I say out to ignore them. Google is explicitly
trying to eliminate most Affiliate marketing sites from its search results by
making "improvements" on its search algorithms.
Is that a bad thing?
Affiliate marketing has always been head to head with
Google's search algorithms. Should we be? The problem as Google sees it is that it wants
the best product for its customers. Really, is
that such a bad thing?
Google has two customers, 1) the advertisers and 2) the
general public or searchers. It is often a balancing act to ensure that you do
not flood the searchers with advertisements. Frankly, if the search results are
full of ads and no actual content, people will stop using the search engine.
After all, there are still other search engines out there. Why would Google
want to give up its market share?
The title of this article says that we are going to learn
how to trick Google into liking Affiliate marketing, and we can. The thing is
we need to trick ourselves first.
The number one way to get Google to find you is keywords.
There is no argument about that, but if you want Google to like you -- you need
to offer Google's clients value.
Value does not mean that you must sell them what they want. Rather, you need to give them what they want.
Give them Content!
Real Content. Not Fluff. Not a Hard sell; soft sell; or any
sell. At the same time, in the same breath -- don't forget to sell them
something.
What? How do you not sell something to sell something, you
may ask. OK. I lied. You must sell something and soft sell is the only way to
go.
The most important thing is to give away a lot of facts and
honest reviews, go for the kill and don't forget to ask readers to take action.
Give 'em value and Google will give you a better rank in return.
If all affiliate marketers did this, we would certainly trick
Google into liking affiliate marketing web sites.
